How to Make Delicious Tteokbokki at Home!

Water – 2 cups (400ml)
Anchovy-kelp broth (optional) – Use this for a richer, more flavorful tteokbokki!

🌶 Special Tteokbokki Sauce
Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) – 2 tbsp
Gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes) – 1 tbsp
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1.5 tbsp
Corn syrup or honey – 1 tbsp (adjust for extra sweetness)
Minced garlic – 1 tsp


🥘 How to Make Tteokbokki

1️⃣ Prepare the Broth (Optional, but Recommended!)
For extra depth of flavor, prepare anchovy-kelp broth by boiling a handful of dried anchovies and a piece of kelp in 2 cups of water for about 10 minutes. This makes the tteokbokki taste even better!

2️⃣ Make the Sauce
In a bowl, mix together gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, corn syrup (or honey), and minced garlic. This is the key to that perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors!
